Abstract

The downward tendency of prices continued in most stocks in the opening dealings today those connected with the copper industry holding their conspicuous place in the decline. There were advances in a few of the important stocks, including Union Pacific and a rise of ¾. American Smelting fell 1¼, Amalgamated Copper, 1¼, Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie preferred 1 5/8. Reading and Missouri Pacific a point and Pennsylvania, American Car and the Central Leather stock large fractions. North American sold at an advance of 2.
