Abstract

Ketanji Brown Jackson became an associate justice of the Supreme Court in 2022. She was born September 14, 1970, in Washington, D.C., to educator parents. Ketanji was a driven student, achieving top honors and becoming a national debate champion in high school. She graduated at the top of her class from Harvard Law School in 1996, where she served as a supervising editor for the Harvard Law Review. At the beginning of her career, Jackson clerked at the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
