Abstract

In a Theater of Operations. Military railways may be operated by civilians, by troops, or by a combination of both. Joint operation by civilians and troops may exist in friendly territory. Trains for civilian needs and military trains up to a certain distance from the front may be operated by civilians. Military trains beyond that point will be operated by railway troops.
