My ever Dear Friend I no doubt you will be surprise to recieved a letter ^ [so] soon I think it will be recieved with just a much pleasure this week as you will nexe my Dearest Dearest Rebecca my heart is allmost broke I dont know that I ever spent such hours as I have my loving Friend it goes harder with ^ [me] now then it ever did I am more acquainted with you it seem to me this very moments if I only had the ^ [wings] of a dove I would not remain long in Waterbury although we cant alway be together
