An Amalgamationist in Limbo for the Second time.—As officer Bowyer was perambulating in Fulton street, about 9 o’clock on Monday evening, his attention was attracted by the waddling, mincing gait of a strapping she darky, whose appearance excited suspicions that she was of “no good.” Upon obtaining a view of the supposed female’s face, he perceived, to his astonishment, that the animal was the notorious Peter Sewally, alias “Beefsteak Pete,” known as a gay deceiver of those whose amalgamation propensities lead them in search of woolley heads . . . Bowyer immediately pounced upon the rogue, who made fight and was not conquered until “Billy” brought him to his proper understanding. The rascal was sent to the penitentiary for six months, and it is hoped that John Brown will tame him before his time is out. Officer Bowyer is entitled to much credit for taking upon himself the responsibility of arresting and securing this beast in the shape of a man.
