Abstract

José Trigueirinho's Calling Humanity (in Portuguese, Um chamado especial; literally, “A Special Calling”), is a selected collection of previous works by the Brazilian writer, translated for the first time into English (as well as Spanish and French). The core of Trigueirinho's belief, outlined in these selections, is that humanity is just one of the many living societies in the universe, since there are countless life forms at all dimensions and levels. Trigueirinho maintains that if people let their consciousness dominate their inner and outer selves, then humans could actually interact interdimensionally with all these life forms, regardless of their place in the cosmos
