Abstract

As a cowboy, Charles Siringo embodied the life and adventures of what has become popularized as the cowboy era. Siringo drove heads of cattle across the plains of the Midwest, and it was during his days as a cowboy that he took up the task of leading a group of men to hunt down the notorious outlaw Billy the Kid and his gang.
