Abstract

At its essence, management is about accomplishing goals and objectives through the joint efforts of people. While it involves knowledge of technical skills, such as finance, accounting, and marketing, its primary activity requires bringing people together and motivating them to accomplish individual and organizational goals. As the nature of work has changed over time, so has the nature of management's relationship with workers.
