Abstract

According to ‘Umar b. Shabbah—Musa b. Isma‘il—Hammad b. Salamah— ‘Ali b. Zayd—al-Hasan: Al-Dahhak b. Qays wrote to Qays b. al-Haytham after the death of Yazid b. Mu‘awiyah: “Greeetings! Yazid b. Mu‘awiyah is dead. You are our brethren, so do not anticipate anything we might do before we have made a choice for ourselves.”
