Abstract

Zhu Zun, member of the council and of the Board of Rites, kneeling, presents the following memorial, wherein he suggest the propriety of increasing the severity of certain prohibitory enactments, with a view to maintain the dignity of the laws, and to remove a great evil from among the people: to this end he respectfully states his views on the subject, and earnestly entreats his sacred majesty to cast a glance thereon.
