Abstract

One of the most divisive touchstones in post-World War II America was the war in Vietnam. Not only did it influence everything from music to politics to culture, but it popped the bubble of seemingly unstoppable American global hegemony in the world. Vietnam was the first war that the United States unquestionably lost, and the repercussions continue to last to this day.
