Abstract

Peace activist Betty Williams, the recipient of the 1976 Nobel Peace Prize, delivered the address “Peace in the World Is Everybody’s Business” on September 20, 2007, at Soka University of America. In her speech, she spoke about the anti-Catholic sentiment in Northern Ireland that led to the incident that inspired her to become a reluctant activist.
