Abstract

The Supreme Court’s decision in 1973’s Roe v. Wade proved to be one of its most contentious in the modern era. Reflecting the influence of the sexual revolution and the women’s rights movement, Roe decriminalized abortion across the nation and protected the right to access abortion legally in all fifty states.
