Abstract
El Plan de Santa Barbara: A Chicano Plan for Higher Education was written in 1969 by the Chicano Coordinating Council of Higher Education. The original document was 155 pages outlining in great detail the importance of Chicano studies in universities and other institutions throughout the United States. The meeting place was the University of California, Santa Barbara.
