Abstract

The Neolithic Revolution—or the Agricultural Revolution, as it is sometimes called because it saw the advent of agriculture—represented a crucial shift in world history. Agriculture, or the domestication and cultivation of plants and animals for food, affected human life in every regard; without agriculture, civilizations would not have arisen.
