Abstract

As Unit 5 concluded, we saw that while some Americans in the 1920s were reaping the benests of a booming, largely unregulated economy, others were already suoering economic woes. Farmers entered a depression in the 1920s, and by the 1930s many were in the throes of economic ruin. Not only did they face problems from collapsing food prices and high loan repayments, but also in the 1930s the environment was also working against them.
