Abstract

Singer-songwriter Bob Dylan was born in 1941 and came of age in the turbulent 1960s. Dylan quickly became one of the most inuuential folk musicians in American history. Although Dylan never claimed “Blowin’ in the Wind” was a protest song, it was adopted by protesters around the country as an anthem for their causes, which ranged from civil rights to anti-war protests.
