Abstract

The Combahee River Collective was a group of Black feminists addressing the unique and complex issues facing Black women. Famous founding women included Audre Lorde and Chirlane McCray, among others. The Collective made a point of including lesbians, who were often excluded from white feminist movements, and addressing economic inequality.
