Abstract

Human migration describes the movement of peoples from one place to another due to environmental change, pressure from other peoples, or attractions in the new region. Migration usually involves a mixing of cultures and the development of a new culture, as in the case of the Germanic tribes’ taking up of Roman ways of life even after the end of the reign of the last Roman emperor in the West.
